Former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak In Full Coma

Ever since Mubarak stepped down from his post and went into prison, his health has been deteriorating. He has been serving his sentence at the moment in a prison hospital in Cairo.

According to a spokesman for the country’s Interior Ministry, the former leader is now in full coma. “Mubarak entered today into full coma. His two sons Gamal and Alaa submitted a request to the prison authority to move beside him and it has been accepted,” said ministry spokesman Alaa Mahmoud.

His two sons are also serving their sentence in jail for insider trading and money laundering. His health condition worsened since last Wednesday wherein he has been attached to the ventilator several times. His wife and his son wives were allowed to visit him last Sunday.

They also requested that elder Mubarak would be transferred to a private hospital but according Mahmoud, it would be allowed but they need to shoulder the hospital expenses.

Hosni Mubarak is now serving a life sentence imprisonment for the killing of pro-democracy demonstrators last year.
