Jessica Sanchez Will Sing US National Anthem On Pacquiao vs Bradley Boxing Fight

It has been known to the world that after the American Idol Finale, first-runner-up Jessica Sachez won the heart of millions of people. That’s why, for a major boxing event like Pacquiao-Bradley match, it’s no surprise that she will be invited to sing the national anthem.

Sanchez said the following in her official twitter account “Singing the national anthem this Saturday in Vegas for the Pacquiao fight so excited!!!! Btw, miss you guys!”. Even though she has Filipino blood, she won’t be singing the Philippine National anthem but America’s “The Star Spangled Banner”.

The Philippine National Anthem on the other will be sang by another Filipino-American Broadway star Kirby Asunto as picked by Pacquiao. Both ladies will be singing before the main event in front of approximately 16,000 on-the-venue audience and millions of viewers from all the globe via pay-per-view.

Eight-division boxing champion Manny Pacquiao with boxing a record of 54-3-2, 38 KOs will be defending his World Boxing Organization welterweight championship title against the undefeated junior welterweight champion Timothy Bradley (28-0, 12 KOs) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas Nevada on Saturday, June 9, 2012.

According to Pacquiao’s coach Freddie Roach, if this fight would turn out bad for Manny, then he should be considering the retirement.

“Bradley’s no killer, but he tries hard,” Roach said in an interview with the Associated Press. “Manny should eat him up as he comes forward. I think Manny should look really good in this fight.” “[But] if he [Pacquiao] looks bad, he retires. At least I’ll tell him to. And he may be the first one who will listen to me,” Roach added.
