London 2012 Closing Ceremony Will Be a Music Concert

The London 2012 Closing Ceremony will be happening on Sunday, August 12, 2012 – with a start time of 4:00 PM ET.

While the Olympic closing ceremony is not as popular as the opening, it is still a great spectacle to watch as everyone celebrates the accomplishments of all the athletes, regardless if they won or not, for another historic event for the human race.

And as the host city, London, hand over the flame to the next Olympic Host City, Rio de Janeiro for Rio 2016 – it is expected that the closing ceremony will be something that everyone will remember.

Led by artistic director, Kim Gavin, the London 2012 Closing Ceremony will be entitled, “A Symphony of British Music” – which many have already called, one great big music concert of British icons from the past until the present.

Among those who are rumored to sing and perform are Adele, Liam Gallagher (of the former Oasis band), Kate Bush, Jamiroquai, Elton John, George Michael, Annie Lennox, Paul McCartney, One Direction, The Pet Shop Boys, The Who and a complete attendance for the five Spice Girls.

Who are you most excited about to hear sing during the Olympic’s closing ceremony? We’re just simply excited about The Spice Girls reunion!
