Michelle Duggar Doesn’t Believe in Overpopulation
As they say, ‘Every child is a blessing”, but Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar may have carried that saying all too seriously — and to the extreme!
Michelle and Jim Bob currently have a brood of 19 kids — and counting. Because, according to Michelle, that is just how she prefers it.
In fact, the Arkansas-based Duggar matriarch admits she does not believe in overpopulation, saying, “Well, first off, the idea of overpopulation is not accurate because, really, the entire population of the world, if they were stretched shoulder to shoulder, could fit within the city limits of Jacksonville.”
Jacksonville, Florida’s land area, does in fact, amount to between 758-885 square miles, and with the world’s population estimated to be just over seven billion, that would equal approximately 8,500,000 people per square mile.
The controversial TV mom also argues her point by quoting the late Mother Teresa, “To say that there are too many children is like saying there are too many flowers. Our world needs more joy.”
The Duggar family’s brood of 19 includes Joshua (who is married with two kids of his own); twins Jana and John-David; Jill; Jessa; Jinger; Joseph; Josiah; Joy-Anna; twins Jedidiah and Jeremiah; Jason; James; Justin; Jackson; Johanna; Jennifer; and Jordyn and Josie.
